waldglas

Literally “forest glass”, waldglas is greenish, yellowish or brownish glass that was made from the early Middle Ages in the forests of Germany, mainly in the Rhineland and on the border of Bavaria. Waldglas is thick, robust and primitive in form, usually mould-blown and often decorated with prunts and trailing.
