pot-pourri vase

A vase, sometimes richly mounted in gilt-bronze, characterised by pierced decoration on the shoulder or cover or both. It was used for holding liquid pot-pourri. In England, mixtures of dried flowers and herbs were used in a pot-pourri bowl.
