Jais Nielsen (1885-1961)

Jais Nielsen was a Danish painter and ceramist.

After several years as a painter, in which he adopted a Cubist style, in 1920 he ceased to paint and concentrated on ceramics. He became renowned for his modelling work for the porcelain companies Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grøndahl.
