Münden

A faience factory was established just outside Münden in Hanover in 1737. It specialised in vases with pierced double walls and plates with open basketwork rims, decorated in rather pale high-temperature colours. From about 1775 it began to produce cream-coloured earthenware, which became the principal product until the pottery closed in 1854.
