maigelein

A type of cylindrical waldglas beaker. Maigeleins, made almost exclusively of green glass and decorated by optical ribbing or a grid, were popular in the second half of the 15th century, in Germany, France and the Netherlands.

The term is often used loosely for various types of cylindrical cup in glass or metal.
