Knole setteeA style of settee that was very popular in England in the 1920s and 1930s. It has a high back and hinged arms which may be held upright or sloped out from the seat. It takes its name from a unique specimen that is still at Knole Park in Kent. The original settee was made between 1610 and 1620 and is upholstered in red velvet with red fringing. |
