Georgian

A descriptive term for the wide variety of decorative styles popular in England during the reigns of George I, George II and George III until the beginning of the Regency - that is, 1714-1811. Sometimes, however, the term is understood to cover not only this period but the Regency and reign of George IV also - that is, 1811-1830.
