Sir Edmund Elton (1846-1920)English art-potter who succeeded to a baronety and inherited Clevedon Court in Somerset. There in 1881 he set up a pottery studio. He experimented with numerous forms and techniques, including lustre, metallic glazes and coloured slips. his jugs and vases, sometimes bizarre in shape, were widely exhibited in Europe and America, and were marketed in the USA by Tiffany & Co. |
