William Duesbury (1725-1786)

A notable English porcelain painter and factory owner. He established a studio in London circa 1750 for painting porcelain. In 1756 he was one of the founders of the Derby porcelain factory, of which he eventually became the sole owner. He also bought the Chelsea porcelain factory in 1770 and the Bow porcelain factory in 1775.
