DelftDutch tin-glazed earthenwares named after the town of Delft, which was the principal production centre. 16th century Delft shows Chinese influence, but by the 17th century the designs are based on Dutch landscapes. Similar pottery made in England from the late 16th century is usually termed Delftware. |
