cauliflower wareCreamware vessels - usually covered bowls, tureens or teapots - naturalistically modelled and coloured like cauliflowers. A green glaze was applied to the lower part, representing the leaves, and the flower-head was white or cream. Wares of this kind were produced by Thomas Whieldon and Josiah Wedgwood circa 1759. Cauliflower ware in porcelain was also produced at Chelsea and Worcester. |
