Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886)

Randolph Caldecott was an English artist and illustrator who illustrated numerous children’s books in the 1870s and 1880s. He also contributed to Punch and The Graphic.

In the USA, the Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children published each year.
